September 2015

We are just two weeks away from starting the School of Strategic Missions (SOSM) to help prepare us to return to Central Asia! We are really excited to see all that God has for us to learn and be a part of in this next season.

This week, a friend that has lived in Central Asia returned to the base for some time of rest. We met with him briefly and our passion was again ignited for the sweet people of Central Asia that we care so deeply about. This last year of waiting, transition and training has not always been easy, but we know that all of this preparation is necessary for us to effectively return to the field. If you have more questions about the work we will be doing or how you can get involved long term, please email us.
Thank you, to all of you that have given towards the cost of SOSM. If it is on your heart to give financially towards this expense we still need a significant amount of money to pay our school fees.
Lots of Love,

Joey, Laurel, Isaiah, Kyla, Makenna and Noah

MORE News:

  • Joey has been working as the head of security on our campus of 150 staff and close to 100 students for the past few months. He will continue this role while taking SOSM and also working on our Aquaponics Greenhouse. He is a jack of all trades and works diligently in everything he does around the base. He is such a hard worker and blessing to all he serves.
  • Laurel will continue to homeschool and maintain the home-front as well as attending SOSM classes and keeping up with assignments. She will also be working with the Fall DTS to mentor some of the students one-on-one.
  • The three big kids are well on there way with the school year. During SOSM they will continue their studies with a staff member who is volunteering to tutor in the mornings. Noah will be attending Little Lights preschool on the base. He is so excited to go to big kid school a couple mornings a week.
My parents and Aunt and Uncle were here to help celebrate my 30th BIRTHDAY! One day we went to the zoo to celebrate!
Makenna is loving kindergarten and impressing us every day with her easy learning style and ability to excel.
This is Hannah, a fellow staff member that we have adopted into our family. Our home has allowed us to invite many people in to build friendship, provide some home cooked food and family fun.
Joey helped welcome in 10 new staff by speaking at orientation about security procedures.
