The Gina Marie Osmond Band (GMOB) is all about creating unforgettable moments with music that moves people. Rooted in the Osmond family legacy, we bring energy, harmony, and heart to every stage. Here are answers to the most common questions we receive from couples and event planners.


General Booking

1. How far in advance should we book GMOB?
Most couples and planners book us 9–12 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season. The sooner you reach out, the better the chance we’ll be available. That said, if your event is coming up quickly, don’t hesitate — we’ll do everything possible to make it work.

2. What information do you need from us to secure a booking?
We’ll need the date, location, type of event, and a little insight into your vision for the music. With that, we can put together a proposal designed specifically for you.

3. Do you require a deposit to reserve the date?
Yes, a deposit of 25–50% is required to officially lock in your date. This ensures that your event is fully reserved on our calendar. The remaining balance is typically due before or on the day of your event.

4. What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Deposits are non-refundable, but if life happens and you need to reschedule, we’ll gladly work with you to move your deposit to the new date, provided we’re available.

5. Do you provide a written contract?
Yes, every booking includes a written contract. This way, both you and our band have peace of mind knowing that everything — from timing to payment — is clear and agreed upon in advance.


Band Setup & Logistics

6. How many musicians are in GMOB, and what instruments do you play?
Our full band features powerhouse vocals supported by guitar, bass, drums, and keys. This setup gives us a big, full sound, but we’re flexible — we can scale up or down depending on your event.

7. Can you adjust your band size to fit our event and budget?
Absolutely. We can provide anything from a small acoustic duo or trio for an intimate ceremony to a full high-energy band for a packed dance floor. It’s all about creating the perfect fit for your celebration.

8. What type of sound and lighting equipment do you provide?
We provide a professional PA system and basic stage lighting that work beautifully for most events. If you’d like a bigger production with enhanced lighting or staging, we can make that happen through our trusted partners.

9. How much space and power do you need for setup?
Ideally, we need about a 12x16 ft space and two 20-amp circuits for the full band. Smaller setups need less. If you’re not sure about your space, we’re happy to work with your venue to confirm.

10. Do you need a stage, or can you perform on the floor?
We don’t require a stage, but it always adds a nice touch. If your venue doesn’t have one, performing on the floor is just fine as long as the surface is level and safe.


Music & Performance

11. What genres of music does GMOB play?
We perform a wide range of popular hits — from rock and pop classics to Motown, R&B, dance favorites, and even some country. Our goal is always the same: to keep your guests engaged and your dance floor packed.

12. Can we request specific songs for our wedding or event?
Yes, definitely. We’ll send you our master song list, and you can highlight your must-plays and any songs you’d prefer we avoid. We want the music to reflect your taste and your story.

13. Will you learn a special song for our first dance or key moment?
Yes! We’d be honored to learn and perform a special song for your first dance, parent dances, or another important moment. Just give us at least six weeks so we can prepare it properly for you.

14. Do you take requests from guests during the event?
We usually stick to the set list we’ve planned with you, but we love engaging with the crowd. If we know a request and it feels like it fits the moment, we’re happy to surprise your guests with it.

15. How long do you typically perform, and how many breaks do you take?
A typical booking includes 3–4 hours of live music, broken into sets of 45–60 minutes each with short breaks in between. During those breaks, we’ll keep the energy going with background music.


Pricing & Packages

16. How much does it cost to hire GMOB?
Our rates vary depending on the band size, event location, and length of performance. Reach out with your details, and we’ll create a custom quote that matches your needs.

17. What is included in your standard package?
Our standard package includes live music, professional sound equipment, basic lighting, emcee services, and recorded music during breaks.

18. Do you charge extra for travel, setup, or overtime?
Setup is included in your package. Travel fees may apply if your event is outside our normal area, and if you’d like us to play beyond the agreed time, we can extend for an additional hourly rate.

19. Can we add ceremony, cocktail hour, or after-party music?
Yes! Many couples add acoustic music for their ceremony, a smooth set for cocktail hour, or an upbeat after-party vibe. We love tailoring our services to your full day.

20. Do you offer weekday discounts?
Yes, we often offer more flexible pricing for weekday events since those dates are in lower demand.


Logistics on Event Day

21. How early will GMOB arrive?
We typically arrive 2–3 hours before our first set. This gives us time to set up, soundcheck, and coordinate with your planner and venue staff so everything runs smoothly.

22. Do you provide recorded music during breaks?
Yes, we’ll play recorded music during our breaks so there’s never a silent moment. If you’d like to provide a playlist of your own, we’re happy to run it through our system.

23. Can you provide a microphone for speeches and announcements?
Yes, we can provide a wireless microphone for your officiant, toasts, or announcements so everything is heard clearly.

24. Do you carry liability insurance?
Yes, GMOB carries standard liability insurance, which many venues require. We can provide proof of coverage to your venue in advance.

25. How do you coordinate with planners, DJs, or venues?
We make it a priority to work seamlessly with your wedding planner, DJ, or venue team. From the moment we arrive, we check in with them to confirm timing, flow, and special cues so your event unfolds perfectly.
